Fever bug Fever bug go away!

After  more than a week long of fever episode, finally we are all recovered!

It all started from the father and JX who were down with high fever.

HY was high fever for 3 days while JX was on her 40degC for 3 days too.

I knew this time round the virus could be the stronger type as ever since we practice NI lifestyle, fever has become a stranger to us, even though we on fever, the fever normally subsided in 1 day or the most 2 days.

Subsequently, myself and JY also joined the fever party. Like what HY and JX, I was on fever for 5 days (which I never experience such a long fever before), JY & JX's fever took full 7 days to fully subside.

We brought JX to visit our PD as 3 days 40degC was rare to us. PD checked her lung ear and throat and ruled out bacterial infection possibility. PD was saying high chance was Influenza A or B, where he has few patients being hospitalised because of influenza virus.

Ok, coming to here, I would like to throw a question to audience:

Will you give fever medicine to your LO or yourself?

For me, as I fully aware that:

1. Fever is in fact not an illness by itself, it is a sign that our immune system is working hard to defense.

2. Cold medicine do not kill the virus/bacteria, it just suppress symptoms, yet leads to infection. same thing applied for cough syrup & fever medicine too.

3. Cough is an immune system reaction.

So the best way to do during fever or cold or cough is to keep our army healthy by nourish our immune system further so that it's able to carry out Defense, Cleanse and Repair function well.

Of course we are fully aware that long recovery might leads to complication in between, so we are blessed we know how to nourish our body, the army within us with NI food to win the battle in shortest time.

Another question to you:

When your kids developed rashes after taking medication, what can you do to speed up recovery without medication?

Towards the second day evening where JY still high fever at 40degC, to sooth her discomfort we gave one dosage of paracetamol to JY, and this was what happened - her eczema flared up the next day.

Before getting to know NI, we propably will continue giving medicine despite the eczema, as we dont know there's a better and safer way out than resorted to medication.

Thus, we felt blessed as we know medication is not the only way to recover from any illness or infection. https://nutritionalimmunologylifestyle.blogspot.sg/2014/06/so-what-is-nutritional-immunology.html

Especially for our case where JY can't afford to take fever medication.

With proper rest, diet and NI food, we are now all recovered without medication.

And JY's eczema subsided after 3 days after applying Cactus Hydration Lotion.

What I want to conclude here is:

Regardless what causing fever, be it viral or bacterial ultimately we still rely on our immune system to fight against the invader. Immune system is our best doctor in the world.

Of course, monitor your kids behaviour. As long as your kids are behaving normal, have no problem in drinking, eating or passing motion, we just monitor and sponge them and rest and feed our army with NI food.

Like for our case, JY has possibility developing rashes if given medication. Then what can you do?

We need to be wiser parents, wiser consumer in order to know what is the best food for ourselves and our loved one.

We need correct nutrients on the daily basis to help is prevent illness, as prevention is not only better but safer & cheaper than cure.
When ill, we need adequate nourisement to aids in reovery.

How to make lips injury recover in just a week?

Indeed, falls scratches and injuries are part and parcel when kids are growing up.

Followed by JX fell down in May last year, JY had hers too 2 weeks ago.

It happened when we were happily shopping for our Taiwan trip clothing.

I was quite panic when I saw she bleeding non-stop. But still remained calm to clean my hand with Handygel and applied Gui Hwa Balm on her lower lips. Good thing was she stop bleeding within a minute.

Like what we learned from JX;s episode, other than her daily Oxyginberry drink, we gave her Millenium to speed up her wound recovery. Of course, we applied Gui Hwa Oil on her lips too.

And she recovered within a week!

Indeed, this is the amazing repair function by our immune system with the right nourishment!

We are blessed with NI knowledge that helping JY to recover within a week!
