What is Triclosan? Why Triclosan is dangerous to you?

Earlier I have shared with you on why Triclosan shouldn't appear in your toiletries like toothpaste, shampoo and etc when US FDA officially banned it in 2016.

However when I last visited the local stores, I can actually still find toothpaste that contain Triclosan :(.

So please do yourself a favour to check that if you still have this in your toilet.

I am blessed that we have learnt this 10 years ago on the harmful effects of triclosan in our Nutritional Immunology health seminars from Dr.Chen.

38 out of 60 shampoos found to contain harmful manufacturing solvent

# Hong Kong’s consumer watchdog has found 38 out of 60 shampoo samples it tested contained a harmful solvent used in manufacturing, with seven exceeding the limit recommended by the European Union.#

It seems getting common nowadays to see the news like above. Day in day out, we are using cosmetics and toiletries after wake up till before sleep eg. toothpaste, facial wash, body shampoo, shampoo, conditioner, facial cream and etc...

Hence it is important to be a wise consumer in choosing our toiletries.

How can we be a wise consumer in choosing our toiletries ?

We may find ingredients like Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES , it's different from Sodium Lauryl Sulfate , SLS).

The concern is not on the use of SLES , but how it is being processed , such that the harmful byproduct can be removed.

Same for Talc. It's used widely in baby powder , cosmetics etc.
Talc by itself is perfectly safe to be used .
The danger arise when talc is contaminated by asbestos ( which the 2 quarry , often exist near to each other)

When such contamination , harmful byproducts exist in our toiletries , our health may be harmed in the long run.

For me, I started using Elemente toiletries and skincare about 10 years ago , and same for my family.

Be a wise consumer not only in choosing food, but on our personal care toiletries too.

Because toxic cancer causing (carcinogenic) chemicals is everywhere - from the air we breathe, the food we eat and the personal care toiletries we use on our hair, skin, and in our mouth. They may be contributing to the spiralling rate of cancer and metabolic disease whilst speeding up aging process too.

How to choose a skincare product which you can trust?

Your safety should come first in the formulation of skincare and cosmetics. It should take priority over efficacy and packaging. Why is this so?

Because you are likely to use a vast array of personal care and cosmetic products daily.

The morning grooming ritual often includes toothpaste, facial cleanser, hair shampoo, shower gel, body powder, lip balm and sunscreen.

And that is not even including any makeup. Personal care and cosmetic products such as lip balm and lipsticks may be accidentally swallowed. They are absorbed through the skin.

Scientists have found many common cosmetic ingredients in human tissues, and even toxic chemicals in human breast milk.

Heavy metals and asbestos are some of the most common impurities in cosmetics. For example, lead, arsenic, mercury and asbestos have been detected in lipsticks, lip glosses, beauty products and talcum powder (used in baby powder and cosmetic facial powders) respectively.

Exposure to harmful chemicals occurs when babies and young children touch adults' who use skincare and cosmetic products containing harmful chemicals, then put their little fingers into their mouths. They may also accidentally ingest products such as baby powder, shower gels and baby lotions.

See, we use so many different personal care and cosmetic products daily, some of which we absorb through the skin or even accidentally ingest.

Trouble by acne problem? How to solve severe acne problem?

I believe most of us are familiar with the term called ACNE. As most people develop acne, one of the most common skin condition - to some degree, but it mostly affects teenagers undergoing hormonal changes

Pimples or acne may be mild (few, occasional pimples), moderate (inflammatory papules), or severe (nodules and cysts). Treatment depends on the severity of the condition.

Yesterday I attended A Date with Beauty event with my customer, and we have this acne testimonial for us here:

This young lady's acne problem started off from those tiny tiny white head type of pimples, as you can see from the photo plenty all over her forehead & face.

Later on started to get worse, became inflamation type of acne, despite all the doctor & skin specialist, medication like antibiotic, facial care, injection and etc...

Poor thing

Blessed enough, through a friend sharing she learned about the sciecne of Nutritional Immunulogy and started to nourish her body with NI food.

TRICLOSAN - Have you heard of Triclosan before?

Triclosan is one of the very common anti-bacterial agent used in toiletries like toothpaste, handwash and etc.

It can damage our liver and causing depression worst cancer after it reacting with chlorine in our tap water. Latest research has shown it can cause destroy thyroid function too.

Yet, now US FDA only officially banned it.

Indeed, it's our blessing to get to know the science of Nutritional Immunology & learn the updated knowledge from Dr.Chen 7 years ago. I cant imagine the damage in my body by Triclosan if I didn't know about this and been using for 7 years.

Other than Triclosan, do you know Flouride is actually another neurotoxin.

We are not surprise to see arsenic as neurotoxins, but Fluoride?!

It's something that we need to be concern about. So please check the ingredients label of your toothpaste.

Actually we can choose a safer source instead of using these harmful chemicals.

For healthier option, you can choose a toothpaste with safer ingredients.

I am letting my both gals and of course adults too using Elemente fluoride free toothpaste :)

It's refreshing and safe as does not contain cancer causing agents like SLS and fluoride.
