Fever during holiday.....

What is the ONE THING you scared/worried the most when you are traveling?

Is falling sick or Fever one of them? ๐Ÿคง๐Ÿ˜ท๐Ÿค’๐Ÿคข๐Ÿคฎ

It used to be one of my biggest concerns when traveling with my 2 young princesses too, or to be exact, before I got to know the science of Nutritional Immunology๐Ÿ˜Š.

I still remember I used to pack some common medicines eg panadol, bao ji wan, thermometer in the luggage, ๐Ÿคžjust in case ๐Ÿคž.

What about now?

Today is our 3rd day in my hometown Muar, on the 1st day which was Thursday, my elder gal woke up with fever๐Ÿค’

We don't know how high her temperature was because can you imagine we do not have thermometer either mine or my mum's house ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜„. So we only knew she was on fever. In fact, we can't recall when was her last fever episide too.

She was tired, vomited 2 to 3 times, didn't eat solid food at all, and been sleeping whole Thursday other than waking up to take NI food like Millenium, Nutriact, Rosytime and Orchestra.

Thankfully with the health knowledge from the science of Nutritional Immunology,  we understand FEVER IS NOT AN ILLNESS but immune system doing Defence function due to foreign invaders inside us.

So we know what to do to help our immune system, instead of hurrying sending her to see doctor or give panadol or etc... which is only treat but not cure.

In less than 12hours, her fever broke, and she felt perfectly normal so she continued to nourish her immune system with NI food.

The next day, she is enjoying her school holiday as usual ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Just like what my husband was posting in his fb about his durian feast - we can only enjoy every moment with good health. My elder gal wont be able to enjoy reading with a feverish head too. The guy with gout issues we met in the am, probably unfortunately can't.

To me, as a mother, I've been thru the journey of looking after sick kiddo, the helpless & frustration feeling....

Hence here I am today to pay it forward with what I have learnt, not only i can lead my family to Healthier Wealthier Happier, I can lead people around me to Healthier Wealthier & Happier too ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™Œ

Feel free to reach out to me if you are looking for health or wealth solution too ๐Ÿ˜Š

Fever bug Fever bug go away!

After  more than a week long of fever episode, finally we are all recovered!

It all started from the father and JX who were down with high fever.

HY was high fever for 3 days while JX was on her 40degC for 3 days too.

I knew this time round the virus could be the stronger type as ever since we practice NI lifestyle, fever has become a stranger to us, even though we on fever, the fever normally subsided in 1 day or the most 2 days.

Subsequently, myself and JY also joined the fever party. Like what HY and JX, I was on fever for 5 days (which I never experience such a long fever before), JY & JX's fever took full 7 days to fully subside.

We brought JX to visit our PD as 3 days 40degC was rare to us. PD checked her lung ear and throat and ruled out bacterial infection possibility. PD was saying high chance was Influenza A or B, where he has few patients being hospitalised because of influenza virus.

Ok, coming to here, I would like to throw a question to audience:

Will you give fever medicine to your LO or yourself?

For me, as I fully aware that:

1. Fever is in fact not an illness by itself, it is a sign that our immune system is working hard to defense.

2. Cold medicine do not kill the virus/bacteria, it just suppress symptoms, yet leads to infection. same thing applied for cough syrup & fever medicine too.

3. Cough is an immune system reaction.

So the best way to do during fever or cold or cough is to keep our army healthy by nourish our immune system further so that it's able to carry out Defense, Cleanse and Repair function well.

Of course we are fully aware that long recovery might leads to complication in between, so we are blessed we know how to nourish our body, the army within us with NI food to win the battle in shortest time.

Another question to you:

When your kids developed rashes after taking medication, what can you do to speed up recovery without medication?

Towards the second day evening where JY still high fever at 40degC, to sooth her discomfort we gave one dosage of paracetamol to JY, and this was what happened - her eczema flared up the next day.

Before getting to know NI, we propably will continue giving medicine despite the eczema, as we dont know there's a better and safer way out than resorted to medication.

Thus, we felt blessed as we know medication is not the only way to recover from any illness or infection. https://nutritionalimmunologylifestyle.blogspot.sg/2014/06/so-what-is-nutritional-immunology.html

Especially for our case where JY can't afford to take fever medication.
http://nutritionalimmunologylifestyle.blogspot.sg/2014/08/nurofen-nearly-killed-daughter-girl-2.html

With proper rest, diet and NI food, we are now all recovered without medication.

And JY's eczema subsided after 3 days after applying Cactus Hydration Lotion.

What I want to conclude here is:

Regardless what causing fever, be it viral or bacterial ultimately we still rely on our immune system to fight against the invader. Immune system is our best doctor in the world.

Of course, monitor your kids behaviour. As long as your kids are behaving normal, have no problem in drinking, eating or passing motion, we just monitor and sponge them and rest and feed our army with NI food.

Like for our case, JY has possibility developing rashes if given medication. Then what can you do?

We need to be wiser parents, wiser consumer in order to know what is the best food for ourselves and our loved one.

We need correct nutrients on the daily basis to help is prevent illness, as prevention is not only better but safer & cheaper than cure.
When ill, we need adequate nourisement to aids in reovery.

What to do during Fever, Cold or Cough?

Is there a cure for the common COLD?

Is a FEVER bad?

Why do we COUGH?

Let's look at the below:

Message is clear!!!

1. Fever is in fact not an illness by itself, it is a sign that our immune system is working hard to defense.

2. Cold medicine do not kill the virus/bacteria, it just suppress symptoms, yet leads to infection. same thing applied for cough syrup too.

3. Cough is an immune system reaction.

So the best way to do during fever or cold or cough is to keep our army healthy by nourish our immune system further so that it's able to carry out Defense, Cleanse and Repair function well.

Any army needs high morale to win. So it is important for us to get sufficient rest, to control our stress and to have a positive attitude, ensuring that our immune system is functioning properly.

But more importantly, every army needs a fuel and nourishment.

Ask a malnourished soldier to stand up for his country and chances are he will soon collapse.

This underlines the importance of a well-balanced, highly nutritious diet.

Without it, our army will not receive the sustenance and increased strength it needs to constantly battle deadly invanders.

Both gals down with fever

While I am half way write on how I maintain health of my family members through nutritional immunology (received feedbacks from few parents, so i decided to publish it rather than pm), both gals were down with fever.

JY was down with fever on Wednesday night, she was about 38plus degree C, so i fed her millennium before she zz. Thanks god, she fully recovered on the next day morning. However, I decided to keep her at home for a day to monitor.

Then who knows JX started to have fever on Thursday morning. One after another, haiz.
I did the same, keep feeding JX Millennium and Oxyginberry and sponging throughout the day. Her fever was getting higher from 37plus to 38plus on Thursday night.

I continued feeding her wholesome food and sponging on Friday, in fact her fever rise to 39plus on Friday evening. But not too worry, her fever finally subsided around midnight on Friday.

All thanks to nutritional immunology, as we decided to nourish her immune system with correct nutrient rather than rely on western medication.

We feel so relief as dont have to worry on the side effects from western medication.

Afterall just read the news on the Nurofen nearly killed a 2 years old girl few days back, so scary....

And do stay tune for my post on my nutritional immunology diet ya...

The COLD never bother me anymore

THE COLD NEVER BOTHER ME ANYMORE!

This line from 'Let it go!' song is exactly matching with my nutritional immunology lifestyle now :).

As I consumed wholesome plant food product during pregnancy, JY hardly fall sick before she turned 2 1/2 years old. She started 2hrs playgroup session when she was 2. Clean record throughout the 2 semesters, deep in my heart I knew it's because of the health foundation I had given her since she was in my womb.

However, JY started to catch cold almost every month after i enrolled her into full air-conditioning childcare centre. I began to panicked when she catches cold so frequently as she hardly fall sick before that.

I tried to avoid western medicine as I know they are all suppressant and not only do they cause side effect, it actually also weaken the immune system thus caused kids fall sick more frequently.

Here I would like to describe abit further why we hate western medicine so much - there was one time PD prescribed antibiotics and guess what there's a 'POISON' sticker on the box, isn't it funny? Expect me to feed POISON to my darling? Of course, I am not saying western medicine is totally useless, we still need it during emergency time. There was one time, I surrendered and gave antibiotics to JY as she was on high fever for 3 days, but regretted as she had rashes right after the antibiotics.

So I go for TCM initially, but later I heard more and more news on heavy metal contamination on TCM herbs. Furthermore, we basically don't know what are the ingredients inside and the side effect of the herbs. So like western medicine, those herbs will burden our kid's liver or kidney as well.

So if no western medicine or TCM herbs then what?

Soon, I realized that only plant food is the one which is safe and has no side effect at all. This is align with  the science of Nutritional Immunology - advocate wholesome plant food to nourish our immune system.
http://www.nutritionalimmunologylifestyle.blogspot.sg/2014/06/so-what-is-nutritional-immunology.html

Well, basically there's no medicine for cold or flu due to viruses, so ultimately we need our immune system to fight against. So actually there's no better way than to give our immune system adequate nutrient so that our immune system can carry out 3 tasks i.e. defense, cleanse and repair.

I fed Jiaying NOCO and ACT daily for consecutively 3 months - reason being our cell renewal takes 90-180days. And add on Orchestra whenever she has coughing. Since then till now - THE COLD NEVER BOTHER ME ANYMORE :)

She still have runny nose or coughing occasionally, but she will recover within few days.

At the same time, i also found out why she suddenly prompt to cold and flu after sending her to full day full air-conditioning childcare - according to KKH child specialist & PD which I brought JY to, most kids with cow's milk protein allergic are more prompt to respiratory system problems after they turn 3.

Feel free to contact me if you want to improve your kid's immune system effectively and reduce the cold and flu frequently ya.
