Troubled by Eczema problem? Read this!!!

Does your child has eczema problem as well? What can we do as parents?

JY has eczema problem since infant, mostly on her face, both inner elbow and ankles.
Inner elbow and ankle were most headache as she will kept on scratching till bleeding.

It was such a horrible experience whenever he eczema flare up. I believe parents who has similar experience must be able to relate to ya.

If you consult doctors, they will surely prescribe you with steroid creams to clear the flare-up. First they will prescribe you mild steroid cream, if there is no improvement after 3-7 days, a stronger steroid cream is usually prescribed.

All of us know that steroid cream not only doesn't cure eczema, but has side effects i.e. prolonged use may thin the skin. But if don't use steroid cream, then how?

Before getting to know the science of Nutritional Immunology, I was clueless when come to eczema as we used to thought there's no cure on eczema.

After get to know the science of Nutritional Immunology, I learnt that in fact eczema is due to malfunctioning of our immune system, where our immune system over-sensitive thereby attacking those non-threatening agents.

To add on:

Do you know our immune system malfunction in several ways:

1. Weaken/aged immune system -  a weak immune system cannot protect us and leaves us prone to infectious disease like SARS, pneumonia, meningitis, hepatitis, influenza, tuberculosis, food poisoning and HFMD or even cancer.

2. Oversensitivity of immune system -  where our immune system over-sensitive thereby attacking those non-threatening agents. When this happens, we get an allergic reaction.

The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology says that allergies can strike at any time. It has been reported that one in 4 people  in the US and one in 6 people in the UK have some form of allergy.
Allergic reaction can be classified into 3 main types - respiratory, food and skin.

3. Blind-folded immune system - Our immune system is programmed to distinguish between enemy cells and the body's own cells. Sometimes, the immune system behaves like a blind-folded soldier and mistakenly kills our own cells, leading to auto-immune disease.

Example of auto-immune disease:
- rheumatism
- multiple sclerosis
- diabetes mellitus,
- systematic lupus erythematosus
- scleroderma
- eczema
- psorisasis
- Crohn's disease
- chronic fatigue syndrome

So the only way to solve eczema problem is to give correct nutrients to our immune system to slowly let our immune system to get back to healthy, balance and smart state.

The correct nutrients must come from wholesome plant food.
So here I would like to share with you the two approaches I used to solve JY's eczema problem.

1. To stop the inflammation:

I have tried numerous steroid creams from doctor.

Of course I knew steroid cream has side effect, but I have no other alternative by that time.

Until I learn how to solve this problem with the science of nutritional immunology, phew, no more steroid cream for JY, yippie :)

So what I am using is Elemente Baby Lotion

Elemente Baby lotion is non-alkaline, soap-free, low-irritation and hypoallergenic, making them ideal for protecting baby’s delicate, fragile skin. Skin becomes moisturized and supple when ginseng berry extract is applied. Cactus extract has anti-inflammatory ability speeds up wound healing as well.

Most importantly is the safety of the product: https://nutritionalimmunologylifestyle.blogspot.sg/2015/10/the-greatest-assurance-for-consumer.html

2. Straight to the root cause of eczema – we gives Oxyginberry to JY:

Basically eczema is an autoimmune skin diseases - a skin condition where skin does not have the ability to retain moisture properly. It’s normal for water to evaporate from everyone’s skin, but if someone has eczema it means their skin tends to lose more moisture. This above-normal level of moisture loss in the skin makes the skin more susceptible to irritations and rashes.

So what is Oxyginberry and how can Oxyginberry helps eczema?

Oxyginberry is a wholesome plant food, organic and non-GMO product made up by 6 precious ingredients namely ginseng berry, cactus fruit, cactus, rose, seaweed, & grapeseeds. Combination of these 6 high antioxidant and high phytochemical ingredients not only strengthen immunity but allow our body produce large amount of collagen on its own thus prevent diseases.

How can Oxyginberry helps eczema? Ginseng berry inside Oxyginberry is very high in antioxidant can increase skin hydrating capability thus it can address the cause of eczema which is skin lose the ability to lock the moisture very well. Other than that, Cactus fruit & cactus can promoting cell repair and renewal, in other word helps to heal the dry and scaly patches appearing on the skin. Rose has anti-inflammatory proprieties.

Basically Oxyginberry is not only meant for eczema, just as we are giving our immune system correct nutrient so our immune system will carry out 3 tasks i.e. defense, cleanse and repair.

Do remember eczema is an autoimmune disease, so in order to solve it we must give correct nutrient to our immune system to carry out the defense, cleanse and repair tasks! So we don't have to worry on whether the eczema is triggered by environment or chemical or food. As we are using preventive approach here, not the proactive approach.

Some of my friends asked why kids need collagen – of course they need, they need collagen to retain the skin moisture. But the collagen must be produced by our own body – not the oral type.

With the science of nutritional immunology, I am happy and relief that I am able to handle my daughter's health without any western or TCM. A happy and healthy baby makes a happy mummy :)
