According to a study published by Osteoporosis International, for seniors with osteoporosis, a dietary protein intake higher than the currently recommended levels can help reduce bone loss and fracture risk, if they are not lacking other nutrients for bone health. Researchers found that a higher dietary protein intake is associated with increased bone mineral density or bone strength.

Contrary to popular belief that, we only need plenty of Calcium to have healthy bones, a recent health studies highlighted the importance of Protein in our diet.
